  • July Meeting Tonight

    Tonight is the July Meeting of the Silicon Valley chapter of Mobile Monday:

    We have two presentations to kick things off:

    • Mike Prince from Mobido has been using the SMTP gateways to provide both inbound and outbound messaging capability for the service. He’s going to talk about how that works out in practice and what some of the issues have been
    • Dorrian Porter from Mozes has setup a US based shortcode for use with their service. He’s going to talk about what went into setting up the shortcode and what ongoing testing and maintenance goes into running a shortcode based messaging service.

    Lots of folks have been asking recently about how to setup their app to do messaging, and how some of the options like using the SMTP gateways or working with an aggregator. We’ll hear from a few folks who have been using the different styles, what the tradeoffs are, and some of the practical issues. See you there!
